Wow! These ones you don’t see every day! First generation Toyota HiAce, produced 1967-1977, this one is from 1976. This beauty was sold as new by Lohjan Autokeskus Oy in Lohja and has had only ONE previous owner and is driven only 90.000km (!!). It spent all of its life on a farm in Lohja, and was at the time bought for the lady in the house with the purpose to transport apples to the market in Lohja. Time passed and both the lady and the car got old. Over the last decades the van has been very sparely used. Luckily all the original documents such as servicebook, users manual, registration and inspection documents etc. have been well preserved over the years. From the inspection documents you can follow up the mileage and see that the mileage of just 90.000km is correct. We got the chance to buy the van in 2020 and rapidly decided that this rare piece of automotive history in Finland shall be restored to look like brand new again. The little rust it had was blasted away and the whole outside of the car was repainted in original colors (body, bumpers, front grill, wheels, wheel covers etc.). New time period correct rubbers were fitted to the refurbished wheels, seats were upholstered etc. The underside of the car is in very good shape as it has had its fair share of anti-corrosion treatments over the years. We are very happy with the result, this old van truly looks amazing, just have a look at those pictures! And it draws some very positive attention to it where ever you roll! It runs and drives perfectly, ready to take you out for a spin when ever you want. First generation HiAce vans are very rarely found for sale, there is not too many left of them! Particulary in this shape and with such a nice history. I'd say it's a safe investment!
